It’s been all over the news lately that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, has been sick during the coronavirus outbreak that is currently happening in Italy. Because it’s always on the news, and images of the Pope blowing his nose during Mass have been circulated around the internet faster than the latest news on the stock market, I wanted to first relay the news that the Holy Father tested negative for the coronavirus and is simply battling a common cold.
I also wanted to remind everyone that it is our duty to pray for the Pope, regardless of his current health, and ask God to give him the strength needed to steer the Barque of Saint Peter through the troubled waters of our world.
Saint Peter, pray for us and for the successor of your Apostolic See.
